Editorial #270 Republic vs Democracy

Any citizen who took Civics in high school knows the difference between a republic and a democracy. The problem is our public education system no longer teaches civics to let the next generation know this fact. Civics was replaced with social studies, using American history to put our country on trial to find fault and criticize of our nation’s superior success in exercising true freedom.

The Departments of Education opened a Pandora’s Box to fill the civics vacuum with unscientific and unsubstantiated theories on racism and gender studies.

Editorial #271 “What is the Point?” aired March 25, 2021

Editorial #271 What is the Point?

The policies, executive orders and legislation coming from Washington are illogical at best and exemplify Einstein’s definition of insanity: doing the same thing over again, expecting a different result.

Illogical, unproven and counterintuitive policies regarding voter ID, border security, using racism to solve racism, labeling abortion as health care, inflicting sex education on children along with teaching sexually to immature adolescents are being shoved down our throat by these “enlightened elites”.

Editorial #266 Why We Get the Politicians We Deserve

There are ten reasons we get the politicians we deserve with the biggest, unwritten reason, being apathy. The sad part is all politicians must survive the gauntlet of campaigns and still be able to live with themselves after the election. Of course, they must win before they can implement any of their ideas but if that means compromising their core values, what good is having the whole world if it causes you to lose your soul?

Editorial #269 “Seven Sins of a Failing Society” aired on March 16, 2021

Editorial #269 Seven Social Sins of A Failing Society

Mahatma Gandhi described the seven social sins found in every failed society. These vices pervade the mentality and agenda of today’s politically correct snowflakes and deep state’s liberal progressives.

1. Wealth without Work
2. Pleasure without Conscience
3. Knowledge without Character
4. Commerce without Morality
5. Science without Humanity
6. Worship without Sacrifice
7. Politics without Principles

These sins are endemic to a godless society where “The ends justifies the means”.

Editorial #265 “Equity vs Equality” aired on March 11, 2021

Editorial #265 Equity vs Equality

Equity has become one of the most devious words in the liberal, cancel culture jargon. It was a financial term describing the value remaining after paying off a debt. Now it is being hijacked by the deep state as a way to end racism. The irony is equity must use discrimination to achieve the very thing they are trying to eliminate.

Equity is the opposite of equality in a social context.

Editorial #264 Revisions, Equity and Social Justice

Webster made a dictionary to define words whose definition and understanding could be considered constant. The meaning and derivation of a word is useful in maintaining a timeless source of dependable understanding.

There is a bad habit in conversation: giving an overly complete background before making their point. This delays hearing their message where instantaneous is too slow. Brevity is the secret in conversations,

Editorial #262 Society and Its Currency

All civilizations rise and fall on the value of their currency. There are contributing factors that exacerbate the speed of the implosion, but the beginning of the end starts when citizens lose trust in their country’s monetary system caused by its liberal agenda.

Gold was the first universally accepted currency. Distant civilizations who never met, accepted gold as a unit of barter. It is valuable to crooks and clergy,

Editorial #263 A Rose by Any Other Name

The political correctness movement along with the fake systemic racism continues to spawn more hypocrisy that undermines our core values. This hypocrisy of the “Equity” movement (whatever that means) has infected the media, advertising, movies, social and political discourse. It exacerbates a racist agenda in an attempt to gain political, social or economic advantages under the disguise of advancing social justice. The old adage applies: “Follow the money” explains their corrupt agenda.

Editorial #200 We get the Politicians we Deserve

The politics of past years has exposed a cancer of how apathy and complacency has infected the sustainability of our constitutional republic. If society continues on this path it will no longer be one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice.

We select caretakers call politicians, who are NOT leaders, through campaigns to get our vote. During campaigns, voters do a peculiar thing.

Editorial #258 The Purpose for Political Parties

The prevailing feeling about politics today is apathy, with our point of view largely ignored by politicians who will do what they want, regardless of our input. This is unfortunate and the main reason we get the politicians we deserve.

There have been numerous attempts at term limits with the thinking that career politicians are out of touch and too embedded in the Washington swamp to fairly represent their constituents.
