Health Care

How the government invest our tax dollars comes to a very critical point when dealing with health care. When does our personal obligations to our health care stop and when does The Government’s responsibility to provide health care start? That point is known as the social contract that must be decided by “we the people”. It is not for the politicians to decide. It must be decided democratically.

This point is at the root of the country’s health care problem and calling it health care is a misnomer.

Editorial #14 Debt Ceiling August 31, 2017

Our Congress is again dealing with the issue of raising the debt ceiling. This almost biannual event is becoming a grandstanding show and not legislation. I would think congress would be embarrassed for showcasing their incompetence of not being able to control their spending.

They seem to have no concept of how to run government like a business. It is the biggest business in the country after all and we have politicians who have never run a business in their life trying to manage it.

Editorial #13 International Security August 17, 2017

The recent events with North Korea are the result of years of “kicking the can down the road”. Like all situations, where only the symptoms are addressed, the problem always becomes worse if not addressed directly.

Rewarding of bad behavior always breeds more bad behavior. The climate of political correctness is largely responsible for this result. North Korea is on the same spectrum as any social disorder that occurs today.

Editorial #2 Why Businesses Fail July 15, 2017

Editorial #2 for WJAG  July 15, 2017

Reasons Businesses and Governments Fail

The main reason businesses fail is the same reason we have a failing government.  Government, like all businesses, must follow fundamental rules of economics.  Following these rules made this country’s businesses the most successful economic power in the world, in spite of the unfriendly business tax climate in this country.

Ernie Chambers and his Dysfunctionality

The Purpose for Term Limits

The premise for term limits is fundamental to the proper function of our United States Government.

Anyone who opposes the concept of term limits is disagreeing with the purpose of our American Revolution.  We do not want to be lead by a king, we want to be managed according to the way the owners of the country agreed to, the U.S. Constitution.

Government is the biggest single business in any state or this country.

Position Paper on Taxes

And the system of application

The tax system in this Nation is inherently backwards and the root of many of the problems we face today.  It penalizes success and reward inefficiencies and unproductive activities.

The tax code today finds all the areas in the economy where money is being generated and ‘fines’ them for doing a good job.  This causes four steps to happen:

  1. The taxed entity will look for ways to cut that tax cost.
