Editorial #321 The Grass is Always Greener

The phrase “The grass is always greener” defines a fundamental drive to constantly look for better options.  There is nothing to live for if one does not strive to improve their station in life.  It has been said that happiness consists of three things: Something to do, someone to love and something to look forward to.

Ironically, anyone who is ambitious, hardworking and striving for more in life is often impugned as being ruthless, insensitive and self-centered.  These liberal critics immunize themselves against the happiness formula, by doing nothing but complain, only caring about themselves while ignoring any concept of taking care of their immortal soul.

Conservatives thrive on the consistency of systems and laws, resisting radical changes and progressive social ideas.  Liberals pontificate on resolving poverty, discrimination and health care problems through funding programs that simply throws taxpayer’s money at the problem.  They always play the ‘compassion’ card with the credibility of a snake oil salesman.  They see all problems as societal and systemic to the entire population.  They give no consideration to personal responsibility and demand everyone fit into a flawed partisan paradigm.

The authors of this flawed thinking are outspoken and short sighted, claiming advocacy for the less fortunate but will wall of their own neighborhoods from the unfortunate, while extorting billions of tax dollars for them. The wealthiest liberal elites in the country try to convert hard working, patriotic citizens by marginalizing or eradicating them with threats and bribery. The radical’s modus operandi is to persuade their targets to believe the capitalist system is oppressive and discriminatory.  The irony is their agenda dominates and oppresses those targets who were sold on the idea that they will have more freedom with their help.

‘The grass is always greener’ is the theme used to entrap people into a cycle of dependency through propaganda promising results that only enriches the elites.  It is impossible to satisfy any liberal’s demand because they are based on eternal dissatisfaction.  The ‘victim status’ is used to propagandize them into a sense of entitlement that is unearned and self-destructive.  They are led like sheep into a dependency that robs them of self-reliance, belief in individual potential and any motivation.  We can live in the freest country in the world but will be slaves if everything we receive comes from the government.

“Be careful of what you wish for” is a timeless phrase based on hard won lessons with people being unwittingly led into dependency where life is cheap and easily extinguished by cold blooded dictators.  Elections have devolved into swindles, with one party marketing themselves as genies granting wishes, while the party strives to maintain human dignity, promoting the values that elevates society into a culture of personal advancement.  Only the wise discern the difference, promoting the core values of truth, fairness, sustainability and integrity.

None of these values can exist in a godless, self-centered government that will sacrifice anyone and anything to keep power and control.  The last thing they want is a government “Of the people, by the people, for the people” or “One nation, under God with liberty and justice for all.”

This is Keith Kube wishing you the best in making the world a better place.
