Editorial #338 What a Difference a Year Makes
A year after the election, many questions are lingering in the minds of most voters: How well did we handle the happenings of the past year? Is the country happy with the election results? Are people seeing the pandemic as a fact of life which we accept as normal? Is there progress being made on stopping climate change? Is massive government spending solving any problems? Is critical race theory unifying the country? Did black lives matter accomplish anything? Do we have more energy security? And, is respect for life improving?
These questions have been floating in our society for generations, but now society is being bombed with so much ‘media noise’ that no one sees the deep state agenda being advanced.
The irony is most of these issues were on track to die a natural death due to the stupidity of their logic. Instead they are being kept alive by a deep state bureaucracy that only wants to add more power and wealth to those advancing these issues along with imposing policies that are destroying the nation’s small businesses. This growing list of government-inflicted problems and grievances has created a world disconnected from reality. The real problems like inflation and border security are wholly ignored or denounced as conspiracy.
If we were not constantly reminded of these sorry conundrums they would disappear, reliving society’s angst and saving trillions of dollars. Doing nothing would give far better results. The media’s contempt for the voters only inspires the growing rage of their obvious dishonesty and arrogance.
This is truly a great country built by geniuses that any idiot can run! By looking at the world objectively, society is living longer in a cleaner world with a higher standard of living, with medical and technology advances that border on the miraculous.
There will always be something about which to complain. That is a fact of life that must follow the three laws of thermodynamics: you can’t get something from nothing, we don’t do that very well and it always gets worse.
The things we have been experiencing over the last year is not that different from other past years. It now has different names with media having more difficulty hiding the corruption. We want to trust the media but they keep insulting us by telling us how bad things are while trying to stay relevant, as if anyone cares.
It is all in God’s hands with our only objective: do his will by living by the golden rule and our core values of truth, fairness sustainability and integrity.
We will survive! The world always has before. This truly is the best of times because NOW is always the only time we have. It is up to us to have a positive perspective and disregarding the constant pounding from the news media telling us all about the gloom and doom of which we can do little, except pray and vote.
